East Anglian League Results

EAL – Bury St Edmonds – 24th April 2016

A massive well done to all athletes competing on Sunday at Bury St Edmunds
Although the smallest club we held our own on the day in difficult conditions. Of particular note are the U15 Boys who were 2nd overall on the day, with their female counterparts also having a good turnout and results to finish 4th.
The results for the day can be found here.
The under 11’s have their own tab as non scorers on the spreadsheet and showing good potential for the future especially Cary’s Clarke whos shot putt was awesome.
A couple of name changes are taking place for Cary’s (80m) and Warren’s (1500) and James’ time is being adjusted by a minute.
Thought I would send these out so you can see how well you all did. Performance of the day has to go to Daniel Boulder for his massive jump in the long jump to win that competition.
We need more athletes at the next one on the 12th June at Braintree. Encourage those athletes in your age groups that come to training to help you improve your team status. Under 11’s have a Quadkids event that we are hosting on the same day! So a split team but we are big enough to manage both, but we need to get the older age groups represented better next time.
Thanks to all the parents for your help in the cold conditions and particularly Pauline Bell being static on the finish line all day, good to see you had thawed out ready for parent helper at training on Tuesday where it was even colder!
Naomi O’dwyer took some  the photos on the day which can be found on our facebook page.
