Water. Do remember that in this heat, drinking small amounts of water regularly is a good idea. Isotonic drinks are useful, particularly if you are sweating a lot during a workout. Bedfordshire Network Quadskids 9th Jun Ampthill
Two Girls and one boys team competed at the Under 11 athletics quadkids meeting at Ampthill. There was plenty of enthusiasm and energy displayed by all athletes and some excellent results, seeing PB come down in the running events and go up in the throw and jump event. Zara Butler deserves a special mention winning the girls event outright and need to maintain her form for the last event that we host at Biggleswade AC on 14th July.

Hosting the next event. We I will be sending an email to all under 11 parents with the various roles we need to fill for this event from girl and boy team management (chaperone) to time keepers and result recorders. Please sign up to help the smooth organisation of this event, as we try to balance this and the 3rd EAL at Cambridge on the same day. Under 11’s energy permitting are welcome to attend both events on the 14th July. read more

LBAC Track & Field Fun Day

On Saturday 6th July we'll be holding the second annual LBAC Track & Field Fun Day. The main idea of this is to get the seniors and juniors together and have a bit of fun whilst trying out a few events. The format will be similar to last year where everyone has the opportunity to do some sprinting, jumping, throwing, etc. No one will be obliged to try anything they don't want to, it's just a bit of fun. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us again and we can enjoy our picnics as the day progresses! read more
