Speed Training

 

Monday night sessions are aimed at all abilities wanting to improve their speed. Monday nights are a mixture of sessions, primarily involving interval work.

Sessions generally last 1hr and distance covered can be between 5-7miles. Each week is led by a different member of the club, which means we have fun and variable session plans. Meeting time is 7.20pm, for a 7.30pm start and location can change so check the website calendar or facebook (LBAC training) for details of the meeting point and session.

Approximately once a month we do “Race the Pain”, a self timed 2 mile time trial, which enables you to judge your own progress as you get quicker and fitter.

We are always happy for any existing or new club members to lead a session, just have a chat to Jo Sharples so we can rota you in, and answer any questions you have.

Even though these sessions are aimed to help you get quicker, they are perfect for all abilities as we generally regroup after each interval or rep and you can work as hard as you like. The more effort you put in the more gains you will see, so all we ask is you bring your positive attitude and enjoy the session.
