Individual Races – Seniors

Road Races 2023

The club road race championships work on the calendar year and we try to fit them in around all of the other club events, keep them local and spread them across the year. The races for 2023 are planned to be the following dates and races:

Friday 7th July – Beds AAA 10k

This race is located in Bedford and is the Bedfordshire County race for 2023. A fairly fast course with potential to grab a PB.

Saturday 5th August – Great Denham parkrun 5k

When we had the 5k race here in 2021, the majority of the large LBAC contingent got PBs! Plus it has an excellent coffee shop at the finish.

Sunday 27th August – Headington 5 Mile

A fairly fast and interesting course over in Oxfordshire. One to target.

Sunday 10th December – MK Winter Half

Always popular, so why change something that ain’t broken! In the past we’ve had up to 30 club members trotting round the redways of MK.

Sunday 21st January 2024 – Fred Hughes 10 (TBC)

We’ve had a good turn out in the past and both fast times and great views can be found on this course.

Marathon

We take the attitude that we can’t expect everyone to do the same marathon so any time that you run 26.2 in a race (on an accurately measured course) will count, so take your pick!

Track

The 1 mile Championships are still TBC for 2023, but watch this space.
